Hey There!
I'm just popping in to say hi and share the August Newsletter for 2024. But first, some exciting news! Many of you have been asking about LinkedIn and now due to popular demand, I’m excited to announce that I am now offering LinkedIn services.
LinkedIn services are now $149. This is an intro offer only and available at this price for the first month only.
So call me on 0439 160 982 if you need a LinkedIn profile. Otherwise, as usual, I am still offering resumes, cover letters and selection criteria for government jobs.
And if you need your current resume updated, I can help with that as well.
In other news:
What I’m reading: I am Malala: The true story of a Pakistani girl who was shot and left for dead for campaigning for girls to have access to education. It’s a fascinating look at another culture and one person's bravery.
What I’m watching: Lost. I saw it years ago and loved it, but my son is super into planes at the moment, so we are watching it together. I just finished season one. It's still amazing TV even if you know the series ending isn’t particularly satisfying.
What I’m listening to: I made the mistake of giving my daughter access to my YouTube Music account so she could create her own playlist and now my feed is full of heavy metal. Sigh. Aside from this calamity, my song of the month has to be BANKS. It’s country and a welcome relief from my kids metal collection.
Job Search Question of the Month: Should I include a photo on my resume? Usually, the answer is no for most people. You can read about exceptions here.
Photo of the Month: We did a road trip scavenger hunt. It was fun. We ran two teams and competed on who could find the most things on the list. My team won but we put in a huge effort to take out that title! This is myself and my daughter with our 'border sign' evidence that saw us win:)
Resume Tip of The Month:
Use targeted content in your resume if possible. A professional resume focuses on specific job roles. It tailors your experience and skills to match the job you’re applying for, ensuring relevance. This targeted approach makes it easier for employers to see how you fit the role.
That’s it from me for this month. I appreciate your support over the past few years and look forward to working with you for all your future resume and selection criteria needs.
To your success
Nicole
PS: Don’t forget about those LinkedIn profiles. Call me on 0439 160 982, and I’ll sort them out for you at the Intro price.
